Fad Diets and Pounds Loss

You have probably seen them everywhere. These diets that promise extreme pounds loss in just a short period of time, with no exercise required. Anything that promises you something like that is a fad diet and should be avoided. Fad diets have proven time and time again that they are ineffective in long lasting weight loss, and most of them are very bad for your health.
The pounds loss you experience with fad diets is usually water weight, and it comes from starving your body. As soon as you return to your normal diet and lifestyle, that fat will come back, and more will probably join it. When you use a fad diet you are starving your body of the nutrients that are required for you to survive. Fad diets are ineffective because when your body is in “starvation mode” it will do everything it can to conserve energy, which is stored in fat. Any weight you do lose is either water or lean muscle. However, people continue to use fad diets because they WANT to believe that they can lose that amount of weight in that short period of time. They are so desperate to lose weight that they will spend their money on a program that will not work.
If you want true pounds loss, the only solution is to eat a healthy diet that is rich in all of the nutrients your body needs for fuel. Along with this diet, you should use a healthy exercise program like “Burn Your Baby Fat & Get Your Body Back”. Exercise programs like this only require a commitment of fifteen minutes per day. I don’t know many people who cannot afford fifteen minutes per day. Using an exercise program like this with a healthy diet fuelling your body, you will be able to lose weight quickly without depriving your body of food.
